“Hi! I’m Brisban, the creator of The Hive Dance & Fitness—a space built for women to move, connect, and thrive.“
With a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology and a Master’s in Education from Grand Valley State University, movement and teaching are at the core of everything I do. I’m a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Licensed Medical Massage Therapist, and Certified Assisted Stretching Specialist, which means I bring both science and soul to every class, session, and conversation. I’ve also had the honor of serving as Adjunct Faculty in the Kinesiology Department at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan where I shared my passion for human movement and holistic wellness with the next generation of professionals.
But my heart truly lies in women’s health. After years of being treated like a “small man” by well-meaning health professionals, I realized how misunderstood women’s bodies often are—and I decided to do something about it. I dove deep into the growing field of women’s hormones and physiology, learning how these factors uniquely shape our energy, recovery, and training needs.
I founded The Hive so women of all ages could finally have a space that gets it—a place where you’re seen, heard, and supported. Here, movement isn’t just about fitness—it’s about fun, meaning, and community. Whether you’re dancing, lifting, or stretching, my goal is to help you feel empowered in your body and confident in your journey.
At The Hive, you’re never misunderstood—you’re home.
